A study from the Department of Transportation has figured simulator training has numerous benefits. Despite these facts, simulators have already been viewed by the trucking industry as marginally effective and too costly. These perceptions weren’t past an acceptable limit off the mark. It is time that the trucking industry realize the benefits of simulators whose initial investment might seem only a little high, but they pay for themselves over and over with fuel savings, lives saved, lower insurance premium, no wear and tear, no pollution and regular software upgrades that match the Volvo ptt industry.
Remember our hero “Sully” who landed his plane safely on the Hudson river? He could not have used it if he hadn’t trained on simulators!!
